A two-part series encouraging participants to process and reflect following extended isolation--an opportunity for openness. We hope that this practice serves as a way for participants to try something new, using writing as a way to reconnect with the world and with oneself.
Our creative writing workshop, held during the pandemic, provided a much-needed outlet for self-expression. Through discussion-based lessons on writing essentials, participants were able to overcome technical and creative obstacles while remaining true to their authentic voices. The two-day format allowed for intimacy to develop among the group, as they shared their reflections and writing exercises. The success of the workshop was evident in the continued communication and support among participants outside of the session.
